Guilty Verdict on Sex Charges

On May 5, 2011, a 28 year old, social studies teacher at Yearling Middle School was arrested for Lewd & Lascivious Molestation on a Child 12-15 Years of Age. Huddleston was also the head coach for the girl’s basketball team at Yearling Middle School and a youth pastor at the Buckhead Ridge Christian Church.


On June 8, 2011, Detective Suggs, of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office received information that the suspect was still  having contact with the victim over the internet via Facebook. Upon further investigation, Detective Suggs was able to confirm this information to be true and as a result requested a warrant for Tampering with a Witness/Victim.


On June 13, 2011,  the subject was arrested for the new charge of Tampering with a Witness/Victim, at his parent’s home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee by the Oak Ridge City Police Department and subsequently transported to the Anderson County Jail in Clinton, Tennessee. He then was extradited to Okeechobee County, Florida to face both charges.


On February 6, 2012, Huddleston’s jury trial began for both charges. On February 8, 2012, after an hour of deliberation, the jury returned a guilty verdict, both counts as charged. Huddleston will be sentenced at 9:00 a.m. on February 9, 2012.
